Happy Easter!

Spring is in full bloom, and Easter brings the perfect excuse to gather with loved ones, celebrate renewal, and, of course, enjoy something sweet. But beyond the pastel colors and baskets of treats, Easter is a holiday rooted in deep tradition.

Historically, Easter is a Christian celebration marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing hope, rebirth, and new beginnings. Over time, it has also become a broader springtime celebration, embraced in many cultures with beautiful and unique customs.

In parts of Europe, families decorate intricate Easter eggs using wax and dye—true works of art passed down through generations. In the U.S. and many other countries, the Easter Bunny brings joy to children through egg hunts and sweet-filled baskets. And in my own family, Easter has always been about slowing down and reconnecting. We’d gather around the table, share stories, and pass down recipes—both the well-loved classics and new creations that become fast favorites.

This year, I’m bringing two of those favorites to your kitchen:

Try these Carrot Cake Cheesecake Bars—a rich, indulgent treat that blends spiced carrot cake with velvety cheesecake. They’re a nod to tradition with a creamy twist, and perfect for sharing (though you might want to keep a few for yourself).

And for a burst of color and fun, bake a batch of these Easter M&M Cookies. They’re soft, buttery, and packed with pastel candies—ideal for a casual treat or an Easter basket surprise.

No matter how you celebrate, I hope your day is filled with warmth, laughter, and plenty of sweetness. From my kitchen to yours, Happy Easter!
