Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 large lemon, juiced and sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow them to steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in the vanilla extract and honey (or agave syrup) until fully dissolved.

  4. Let the tea cool to room temperature and then refrigerate it for at least 1 hour until chilled.

  5. Before serving, add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the chilled tea and stir well.

  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemon vanilla iced tea over the ice.
